The apartment is located on the second floor of a 19th century town house, close to the heart of the town.
- The lounge is light and airy and comes with a sofa and several armchairs.
- The fully-fitted kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster
- Next to the kitchen there is a utility room with washing machine, iron & ironing board and further storage.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms and a family bathroom :
- Bedroom 1 is a large room with a double bed and fitted wardrobes.
- Bedroom 2 is a double bedroom with a dressing area.
- Bedroom 3 is fitted with bunk beds.
- The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and wash basin. There is a separate WC.

Last visited: August 2026. This apartment is the perfect base for a couple who want to enjoy rural French life, but still have the space to welcome friends and family to visit. The apartment provides everything that you need and it is walking distance to shops, restaurants and cafes in the town.
Quillan is a popular market town, with a sizeable ex-Pat community drawn to the surrounding beautiful countryside and peaceful way of life..

Quillan is a popular small town, set on the River Aude in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Quillan remains active throughout the year. The town has supermarkets and local shops, bakeries, cafés, bars and restaurants, together with banks, a post office, medical services and a hospital. The town centre itself is compact and easy to explore on foot, with the River Aude, the old bridge and the remains of Quillan's château providing an attractive backdrop.
A regular Wednesday morning market brings local produce and regional specialities into the centre of Quillan.
Quillan is particularly well situated for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. Walking and mountain-bike routes lead directly into the surrounding hills, while the upper Aude Valley is well known for kayaking, rafting and other white-water sports. Nearby Lac de Saint-Bertrand has swimming areas, kayaking and paddleboarding.
The surrounding area contains some spectacular scenery, including the Gorges de la Pierre-Lys, while the spa town of Ax-les-Thermes and the ski areas of the Pyrenees can be reached for day trips. To the north, Limoux is approximately halfway between Quillan and Carcassonne, with the medieval Cité de Carcassonne around an hour away by car.

Quillan is served by the regional bus routes that connect it to Limoux and Carcassonne. From Carcassonne there are mainline rail connections towards Toulouse, Narbonne, Montpellier and Barcelona, making onward travel considerably easier.

Carcassonne Airport is the most convenient airport for Quillan, just over 1 hours drive away.
Perpignan Airport is another useful option, which can be reached in 1 hour 30 mins.
Toulouse Airport is the nearest major international airport and this is 2 hours drive. It is a useful option for long-term tenants arriving from overseas.

Quillan is approximately 52 km south of Carcassonne.
