We established Long Term Rentals in France in 2014, having already gained experience in French holiday rentals through our sister website, Go Languedoc. The idea came from our own experience of moving to France in 2006, when we discovered how difficult it was to find furnished accommodation for several months without French tax returns, employment records or a French rental history.
We wanted to make the process simpler for international clients moving to France. Over the past twenty years, we have built up extensive experience in French property rentals and online marketing. We live in the South of France, visit properties whenever practical and aim to provide honest descriptions, professional advertising and a straightforward reservation service.

We are a rental advertising and reservation service, not a Property Manager. The Owner remains responsible for collecting rent, maintenance, repairs and managing the property during the tenancy. However, we are happy to assist with communication where appropriate.

Wherever practical, we visit properties personally to assess their suitability, take photographs and gain a better understanding of the local area.
Working with the Owner, we prepare an attractive, accurate property description that highlights the main selling points of the accommodation. We also discuss suitable rental periods, realistic monthly prices and any particular requirements you may have.

Long term rentals in France - advertising rates
There is no upfront charge to advertise your property. Our standard booking commission is 12% of the agreed rental value, capped at a maximum of one month's rent, plus VAT. We only earn a commission when we arrange a confirmed rental booking.
All rental payments are made directly to the Property Owner. When we receive an enquiry, we contact you to confirm availability, rental dates and the proposed monthly rent. Once you have accepted the booking, we carry out the agreed tenant checks and coordinate preparation of the rental agreement.
The Client pays the reservation deposit directly to you, normally equivalent to one month's rent. This becomes the security deposit at the beginning of the tenancy. We issue our invoice for the booking administration fee once the reservation has been confirmed and the deposit has been paid.
