For day-to-day living, there is a traditional French boulangerie only a short walk from the house, while shops, supermarkets, restaurants and weekly markets can be found in nearby Duras and Eymet. The popular town of Bergerac provides a wealth of shops and restaurants and also provides a train station and an international airport.
The villa is available for long term rentals between October and April from €2,250 per month + bills.

Luxury villa in Dordogne for long term rentals - facilities
The house sleeps up to 10 people and combines traditional French character with comfortable, well-equipped living spaces.
- Inside, there are generous living room with a large TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, and a second TV with SKY and a selection of DVDs.
- The fully-equipped kitchen comes with plenty of space for cooking and dining.
- The dedicated workspace with fast internet connection, make this property particularly suitable for remote workers.
- Bedroom 1 is a twin room located on the ground floor and it comes with an en-suite bathroom, with shower and wash basin
- Bedroom 2 is the Master bedroom and is located on the first floor. The bedroom comes with a large double bed and en suite bathroom.
- Bedroom 3 is also a double bedroom, located on the first floor.
- Bedrooms 4 and 5 are both twin bedrooms and located on the first floor.
- There is a family bathroom on the first floor which is fitted with a bath, a separate shower and wash basin. There is a separate WC next to the bathroom.
Outside
- The house is surrounded by vineyards and enjoys wide views across the rolling countryside.
- There is plenty of outside space, including terraces and covered outdoor dining areas, making it possible to enjoy the setting even outside the main summer season.
- There are two private outdoor hot tubs, which are a particularly nice feature for an autumn, winter or early-spring rental.
- The property also has its own private freshwater swimming pool. The pool is not heated, so it should really be regarded as a seasonal bonus rather than an important feature of a winter rental.
Dordogne villa for long term rentals - prices
The villa is available for long term rentals between October to April. The prices quoted are based on a 6 month stay. The minimum stay is normally 3 months. In addition to the rent, there is a €350 monthly provision towards the utility bills (electricity, water, heating & Wi-Fi). Pets may be considered, but only through the prior agreement of the Owner (an end of stay cleaning fee will apply).

The villa provides a very high standard of accommodation for people looking for a winter rental in Dordogne and South-West France. We particularly like the combination of space and privacy with the convenience of having a boulangerie within walking distance and several attractive market towns close by.
The two hot tubs are a real advantage outside the summer months and the fast internet connection plus dedicated workspace, make this property especially appealling to clients who will continue to run their own business whilst in France. The location, close to Bergerac, Duras and Eymet, enables you to explore the lifestyle of Dordogne & South-West France outside of the main tourist season.

Area activities
The villa is situated near Villeneuve-de-Duras, surrounded by vineyards and rolling countryside on the borders of the Dordogne, Lot-et-Garonne and Gironde. This is an excellent location for exploring several different parts of South-West France rather than being confined to a single tourist area.
Duras, approximately 10 minutes away, is an attractive small market town dominated by the impressive Château de Duras. The town has shops, cafés and restaurants as well as a traditional weekly market.
Eymet is around 20 mins away and is one of the best-known bastide towns (fortified walled towns) in this part of France and is particularly popular with British and other international residents. Its central Place des Arcades is surrounded by historic buildings, cafés and restaurants, and the town has a lively weekly market.
Bergerac, approximately 30 minutes away, provides a much wider range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and services. Its attractive old town lies beside the Dordogne River and the surrounding countryside is famous for its vineyards, including the wines of Monbazillac and Pécharmant.
The beautiful medieval village of Issigeac, famous for its Sunday market, is also within easy reach, while the wider area contains numerous bastide towns, châteaux and villages to explore.
Wine enthusiasts are particularly well catered for. As well as the vineyards around Duras and Bergerac, the Bordeaux wine region is readily accessible and Saint-Émilion makes an excellent day trip.
For golf and a special meal, Château des Vigiers is approximately 10 minutes from the house and has golf, restaurants and spa facilities.
Other transport
Bergerac has an SNCF railway station, with regional train services providing connections towards Bordeaux and other destinations in the region. Bordeaux provides onward TGV connections to Paris and the rest of France.
For a property in this rural location, a car is recommended, both for everyday shopping and for exploring the surrounding towns, villages and vineyards.
Airports
Bergerac Airport is the closest airport, approximately 30 minutes' drive from Bonté Maison.
Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport is just over 1 hour's drive and provides a much wider range of all year-round domestic and international flights.
Driving directions
The villa is situated close to Villeneuve-de-Duras in South-West France, between the Dordogne countryside and the Bordeaux wine region. Duras is approximately 10 minutes away, Eymet around 20 minutes and Bergerac approximately 30 minutes. Bordeaux can be reached in around 1 hour.
One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (this will become the security deposit for your stay). Rent to be paid prior to arrival. Monthly provision of €350 towards the utility bills and local taxes to be paid in addition to the rent. Minimum stay is 3 months. Pets may be accepted through prior agreement.
