Provence house for long term rentals France - Our opinion

This is an ideal rural property for someone looking to spend a few peaceful months in Provence. The house is well set-up for winter rentals with good heating and excellent fibre internet. The location also provides access to some lovely Provençal towns and villages. The local area is perfect for cycling and you have views of Mont Ventoux from the property. Walking trails start virtually from the doorstep.

Please note: pets cannot be accepted at this property and Barbecues are not permitted in the local area because of the risk of fire. There is also a small independently occupied apartment within the building, with its own separate fenced outside area.

Walking routes start directly from the property, including trails into the nearby sandstone hills and a walk from Rousset to the hilltop chapel with excellent views.

The village itself has a restaurant, a café/restaurant and an organic wine producer. The nearby village of Le Pègue, approximately 1.5 km away, has a small local market and café, while Venterol has a bakery and several restaurants.

Nyons is one of the principal towns in the area and is well worth visiting for its traditional Provençal atmosphere, shops, restaurants and markets. Its main market takes place throughout the year on Thursdays, with an additional Sunday market during the summer. The town of Dieulefit, known for its pottery, is another attractive destination and has a popular Friday market.
